| Title: | Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) - Emerging Research Directions |
| Venue: | 5104-Pilani |
It will focus on the state-of-art in HRI and the new research areas that are emerging with respect to entertainment and service robots. Multi-modal human-robot interaction consisting of facial expressions, vocal intonation, gestures, postures, and physiology are fast replacing traditional interfaces. The goal is to achieve high-dimensional, intuitive, and seamless interaction between humans and robots. This requires a synergistic integration of areas such as engineering, psychology, and computer science. This talk aims at acquainting the students interested in pursuing research/career in HRI with research going on in this area.
All students with interest in Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning are encouraged to attend
